The human body is subjected to and responds to complex exposures including environmental factors, our diet, lifestyle factors, and social influences. For this highly complex interaction, the term exposome was coined by Dr. Christopher Wild at the International Agency for Research on Cancer, World Health Organization.
The VICHY EXPOSOME GRANT supported by VICHY laboratoires is intended to promote and encourage research activity to characterize the skin exposome. One Research Grant of 15 000 € will be awarded annually to a research project in the field of exposome and skin.
The research project may be fundamental or clinical. Projects involving animal research will not be considered. Work may be performed at any hospital, university or other not-for-profit research institution.
The applications for the VICHY EXPOSOME GRANT will be reviewed by a jury of experts chaired by Professor Jean Krutmann (Germany) and composed of Professors Craig Elmets (USA), Haidong Kan (China), Thierry Passeron (France) , Sergio Schalka (Brazil).
The awardee will be selected in December 2018. Award funding will be disbursed to the host institution.
The money granted must be used to accomplish the described research project.
The deadline for applications is November 30th, 2018.
Only complete electronic files will be accepted and submitted to the Grant Jury.
